Mrs Quinn’s Summer Term 1 Class News!

This half term we have been learning about water through our topic ‘Splish, Splash, Splosh.’ We have learnt about all the different ways we use water in our homes every day and how important it is not to waste water. We found out about the importance of washing our bodies and brushing our teeth. We learnt about where rain and where it comes from and found out about wash day long ago with Betti Bwt at St Fagans.  We have had great fun finding out what lives in our school pond, and can’t wait to rehome our tadpoles there once they develop into frogs.

We had a fantastic day dressing up for the Royal Wedding and had great fun at our Garden Party.

Mrs Quinn’s Spring Term 2 Class News!

Rec/Year 1/Year 2

Spring Term (2) 2018

This half term we have continued with our topic ‘Paws, Claws and Whiskers’ and have been busy learning, performing and innovating the famous story ‘Dear Zoo.’  We hope you enjoyed watching our performance on Seesaw.

Due to the snow we celebrated St David’s Day a little late but in style this year with a whole school special assembly, competitions and Welsh activities throughout the day.

We loved celebrating World Book Day 2018. We dressed up, had a quiz, read lots of new stories and shared our favourite books with the older children.

Recently our class has been hit badly by chicken pox! Let’s just say we won’t’ be winning any attendance awards during this half term. We were down to 11 children one day! Hopefully everyone is now spot free and we will be back to normal after the Easter holidays.
